Jim and Wendy Reidy

We live in Concord, New Hampshire but have vacationed in southern Maine for many years. A few years ago, as the youngest of our four children was preparing to go off to college, we had the opportunity to buy a small weekend place in York. This was a dream that we both shared–to be able to be close to the beach year round. Knowing that weekends would be spent at the beach we were looking to connect to a new church. What we didn’t know was that God had already picked out Messiah for us and that our weekend getaway was used to lead us there. Shortly after we moved in we visited Messiah. We were greeted by many and truly felt at home. We found the worship to be genuine and heartfelt. We have been re-energized in the Word through Pastor’s teachings and connected to others through Messiah’s commitment to discipleship. We have been challenged and stretched. We were recently a part of a mission trip to the Dominican Republic that was life changing. The love and relationships that we have found at Messiah are genuine and spirit-filled and foster an outward focused, mission-minded community. We feel loved and accepted. The Messiah community exhibits a true modeling of God’s love for all. We are excited to be a part of Messiah Christian Church.
