Jill Marrone

Jill is from a nice, big Italian family. She has four children, six grandchildren and she is blessed to be a great grandmother and a great, great grandmother. Jill was married for sixty-one years and is a recipient of the Congressional Medal of Honor. Although she grew up in Salem Massachusetts, she moved to Maine when she retired because she remember summers here visiting her grandparents. Jill has been told that she should write a book since she has spent most of her life in the military stationed all over the world. “The best part of my life, I lived in beautiful Germany; I loved it. My hardest days were when I lost my son. He has only 25 years old and had just finished his time in the Air Force when he and his friend were killed by a drunk driver on their way home from work. Jesus helped me then and every day since; He’s right here by my side.” She talks to Him and asks Him not to let her fall; she has a strong faith that keeps her going. “ I like everything about Messiah: the people, the sermons and the pastor is wonderful. It’s a nice feeling to be home. When people get depressed, I get sad. Because I know what that is and I want them to be encouraged.”
