Eric and Barb met while working for Delta Airlines over 38 years ago. Both of them had been divorced previously and were not yet followers of Christ at the time. “Soon after we began dating, a wonderful friend and coworker introduced us to Jesus and we began to attend church. Our lives were relatively happy and uncomplicated when, in 2001, our daughter, Vanessa, was diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.” Their entire church community prayed as Vanessa underwent treatment. “We believe that the Lord did a miraculous work in her life because after just two months of treatment there was no cancer left. That strengthened our faith tremendously. The Lord walked with us during the difficult times during treatment; we remained on our knees and on our faces before the Lord and we always felt him through others and the church. He was our companion.” They have been at Messiah since 2007 and they have a ministry to pray for and help those who are suffering. In addition, both big Harley Davidson riders, they both serve on the Black Sheep Harley Davidsons for Christ Ministry through which they share their passion to share the gospel<br> with those who ride. “Messiah has taught us what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. We have grown and learned so much here about what it means to be in living in relationship with others and how to be true brothers and sisters. We are grateful!”
